Azerbaijan posts nearly 31% surge in property insurance payments

In January-July of 2025, 144.811 million manats (nearly $85.2 million) in insurance premiums were collected for property insurance in Azerbaijan, 11.3% more year-on-year, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

During this period, the amount of payments for property insurance amounted to 24.547 million manats (over $14.4 million), 30.8% more compared to a year ago.

For 7 months, 17 manats ($10) were paid out for every 100 manats ($58.82) of insurance premiums collected for property insurance. This indicator was 14.4 manats ($8.47) a year ago.

Overall, 16 insurance companies in Azerbaijan collected insurance premiums totaling 937.658 million manats (over $551.5 million) in 7 months, marking a 12.5% year-on-year increase.

The total amount of payments made by insurance companies during this period was 529.307 million manats (over $311.3 million), a 20.25% rise from the previous year.
