Azerbaijan hosts IsDB Group's flagship international event after 16 years

The Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group have officially commenced in Baku under the patronage of Ilham Aliyev.

According to Report, the major international event has brought together representatives from dozens of countries to discuss key issues related to sustainable development and the strengthening of regional cooperation.

The Annual Meetings are being held under the theme "Regional Integration for Sustainable Prosperity." Policymakers, development experts, and financial sector leaders from the 57 member countries of the Islamic Development Bank and other nations are participating in the forum. The IsDB is a AAA-rated multilateral development institution serving the Global South.

The theme of this year's gathering reflects the growing importance of regional integration as a driver of sustainable development and shared prosperity.

Azerbaijan is hosting the IsDB Group's flagship event for the second time, having previously hosted the forum in 2010.

The meetings provide a high-level platform for dialogue, cooperation, and knowledge-sharing aimed at addressing common development challenges and promoting sustainable socioeconomic progress.

During the forum, participants will discuss current challenges and emerging opportunities in the development sphere, with a particular focus on innovative and practical solutions that can contribute to long-term global development and resilience.
