Azerbaijan and Maldives discuss virtual asset regulation

Azerbaijan and the Maldives have discussed cooperation and regulatory approaches in the field of virtual assets, Central Bank of Azerbaijan Chairman Taleh Kazimov said in a post on X.
According to Report, Kazimov noted that on the sidelines of the 51st Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Baku, he met with a delegation led by Ahmed Munawar, the chairman of the Central Bank of the Maldives.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on current trends related to the macroeconomic situation and financial stability, the development of the partner finance ecosystem, and the introduction of innovative approaches in financial technologies and virtual asset regulation.
They also discussed opportunities created by global trends for the financial sectors of both Azerbaijan and Maldives, as well as prospects for bilateral cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
