SOCAR to increase production capacity of STAR Refinery to 13 million tons

The annual production capacity of the STAR Refinery, the investment of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, is planned to reach 13 million tons in 2024, Kanan Mirzayev, the head of SOCAR's Türkiye Refining and Petrochemical Business Unit, acting CEO of Petkim Petrokimya Holding, said, Report informs.

According to him, the capacity of the oil refinery was increased from 10 million tons to 12 million tons: "As a result, we have a positive outlook for both Petkim and the STAR plant in line with current market conditions and expected global trends."
