Overnight stays in Azerbaijani hotels rose by almost 7% in 2025

The number of overnight stays in hotels and similar accommodation facilities in Azerbaijan increased by 6.7% in 2025 compared to the same period last year, reaching 4,569,500.
Report informs citing the State Statistical Committee that of the total overnight stays, 58.9% were in Baku, 5.6% in Gusar, 5.1% in Naftalan, 5% in Khachmaz, 3.7% in Gabala, 3.2% in Guba, 3% in Lankaran, 2.2% in Shabran, 1.5% in Shamakhi, 1.2% in Ganja, 1.1% in Shusha, 0.9% in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and 6.4% in hotels and similar facilities in other cities and regions of the country.
Overnight stays by foreigners and stateless persons grew by 11.3% in 2025 compared to 2024, totaling 2,614,300, equivalent to 57.2% of all overnight stays. Among these, 13.6% were citizens of India, 10.1% from Russia, 8.3% from Saudi Arabia, 9.3% from Türkiye, 5.6% from Israel, and 24.5% from other countries.
Overnight stays by Azerbaijani citizens in hotels rose by 1.1% in 2025 compared to 2024, reaching 1,955,200, which accounts for 42.8% of the total overnight stays.
