SOCAR increases share in its Georgian subsidiary to 92%

In 2020, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) increased its share in the Georgian subsidiary, SOCAR Energy Georgia, from 75.5% to 91.8%, Report informs, citing the SOCAR's consolidated financial statements for last year.
SOCAR Energy Georgia has been operating since 2006. During this period, the company has invested more than $ 1.2 billion in the Georgian economy and paid $ 1.7 billion in taxes to the state treasury. Today, the company serves more than 770,000 gas consumers throughout Georgia. 111 filling stations are operating under the SOCAR brand in the country.
