BTC oil transportation via Türkiye exceeded 80M tons in 5 months

In January–May of 2026, the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline transported 80.536 million barrels of oil through Türkiye, Report informs, citing BOTAS Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS).

According to the latest data, this is 7.975 million barrels (9%) less compared to the same period in 2025.

In May alone, 16.524 million barrels of oil were transported through the pipeline – 1.233 million barrels, or 6.9%, less than in May 2025.

For reference, in 2025, a total of 206.434 million barrels of oil were transported via BTC across Türkiye.

Currently, the BTC pipeline mainly carries oil produced from Azerbaijan's Azeri–Chirag–Gunashli (ACG) block and condensate from the Shah Deniz field. In addition, other crude oil and condensate volumes, including those from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, are also transported through BTC.
