BTC oil transportation through Turkey declines by about 2%

In March 2022, 18.216 million barrels of oil were transported through Turkiye via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, down 278,000 barrels or 1.5% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Turkish pipeline operator BOTAS.
In January-March 2022, the BTC pipeline pumped 50.778 million barrels of oil through Turkiye, a drop of 1.22 million barrels or 2.3% from the first quarter of 2021.
The BTC pipeline mainly carries oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of fields and condensate from Shah Deniz. Moreover, other crude oil and condensate volumes, including oil from Turkmenistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan, are transported through the BTC.
