Azerenerji OJSC is reconstructing the 110/35/10 kV Khankandi‑2 substation in Khankandi city and the 110/35/10 kV Hasanriz substation in Aghdara district, using the latest digital technologies, Azerenerji told Report.
The Khankandi‑2 substation will ensure a more reliable, stable, and high‑quality electricity supply to the city, nearby settlements, and key infrastructure facilities.
The Hasanriz substation in Aghdara will improve the reliability of power supply for local consumers, including industrial enterprises, while also enabling the safe and uninterrupted transmission of electricity generated at the Sarsang and other hydroelectric plants in the region into the national energy system.
Azerenerji's Public Relations head, Teymur Abdullayev, stated that both substations will be equipped with local micro‑SCADA dispatcher systems, allowing remote control of switching equipment and real‑time transmission of technological indicators. These systems will be integrated into Azerenerji's Central SCADA management platform.
Previously, Azerenerji fully reconstructed the Khankandi‑1 substation, commissioning it as a closed‑type facility in December last year.
With the completion of these new projects, the number of substations built in the liberated territories by Azerenerji will reach 16. In addition, 38 hydroelectric plants have already been constructed and commissioned in the region, with 8 more currently under construction.
