Azerbaijan nearly doubles revenue from oil exports to Romania

In January-August 2025, Azerbaijan exported just over 778,615 tons of crude oil to Romania, valued at $429.334 million, Report informs, referring to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

Compared to the same eight-month period in 2024, the exports increased by 79.5% in volume and by 1.6 times in value.

Crude oil exports to Romania accounted for 4.9% of Azerbaijan's total oil exports for the mentioned period.

According to the customs declarations, Azerbaijan exported more than 15.924 million tons of crude oil and related products obtained from bituminous rocks, valued at just over $8.396 billion in the initial eight months of 2025.

Overall, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $32.118 billion in the first eight months of 2025. Of this, $17.065 billion came from exports and $15.053 billion from imports.
