Azerbaijan boosts natural gas exports by nearly 4%

Between January and August of 2025, Azerbaijan exported approximately 16.453 billion cubic meters of natural gas worth nearly $5.997 billion, according to the customs declarations, Report informs, citing the country's State Customs Committee. Compared to the first seven months of 2024, the volume of gas exports rose by 3.9%, while the value increased by 9.9%.
Natural gas accounted for 35.14% of Azerbaijan's total exports during the reporting period.
Overall, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $32.118 billion in the first eight months of 2025. Of this, $17.065 billion came from exports and $15.053 billion from imports. Over the past year, exports declined by 6.4%, while imports grew by 17.9%.
