Farhad Guliyev: Azerbaijan to apply digital methods in archaeological work

Future archaeological research in Azerbaijan will increasingly rely on digital methods, Director of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology, Farhad Guliyev, stated during the opening ceremony of the 2026 Archaeological and Anthropological Field Research Season, Report informs.
Guliyev explained that modern equipment is essential for implementing digital approaches: "Several devices have already been purchased. Once modern equipment is fully acquired, the main challenge will be finding qualified specialists. These devices are not easy to operate, and it is crucial to have personnel capable of using them correctly."
