Ambassador praises Azerbaijan's scholarship program for Rwandan students'

Azerbaijan and Rwanda are strengthening cooperation in diplomacy and education, Rwanda's non-resident Ambassador (based in Ankara) to Azerbaijan, Charles Kayonga, told Report's Türkiye bureau.

The ambassador noted that he attended the event organized in Baku on the occasion of Diplomacy Day in Azerbaijan and held several meetings aimed at developing diplomatic cooperation between the two countries.

Kayonga also met with Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Education, Hasan Hasanli, to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the field of education.

He highly valued Azerbaijan's scholarship programs for Rwandan students, noting that these opportunities allow young people to study in fields that are not accessible in many countries and to acquire professional skills.

In his view, these steps once again demonstrate the steady development of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Rwanda, while also confirming the shared will of both countries to expand cooperation in diplomacy, education, and other areas of mutual interest.

During his visit, Kayonga also held a bilateral meeting with Elmaddin Mehdiyev, Department Head at Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting reviewed the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Rwanda and highlighted positive progress achieved in bilateral relations.

The sides further discussed their goals to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest and to maintain the existing momentum.
