2 more Azerbaijani universities to be included in Times Higher Education 2026 rankings

Four Azerbaijani universities will be represented in the 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, doubling the number from last year, Phil Baty, global director at Times Higher Education, said at the Eurasia University Summit in Baku, Report informs.

According to him, 17 universities from Central Asia and the Caucasus will be represented among the world's leading research universities in the updated Times Higher Education World University Rankings, which will be published on October 9, 2026.

"Four Azerbaijani universities will be included in the rankings, which is significant progress – this is two more than last year," he noted.

Kazakhstan increased the number of universities in the rankings from two to five, Uzbekistan from zero to four, and Georgia to three.
