Two Amur tiger cubs have been born at the Baku Zoological Park, a rare and endangered species, according to the IDEA Public Union, cited by Report.
The Amur tiger is considered the largest of all tiger subspecies and ranks as the third-largest land predator after polar and brown bears. Its natural habitat is mainly in the Russian Far East and parts of China.
The species is currently listed as endangered on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List and is also included in the Red Book of Russia.
