Closing ceremony of LCOY Azerbaijan 2025 conference underway

The closing ceremony of the First Local Conference of Youth (LCOY), under the auspices of YOUNGO, the official youth constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is taking place in Baku, at the Sea Breeze Resort Hotel, Report informs.

The adoption of the Azerbaijan Youth Declaration on Climate is planned for the second day of the conference. At the closing ceremony, the participants will meet with the representative of the President of Azerbaijan on climate issues Mukhtar Babayev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Indira Hajiyeva, Member of the Milli Majlis, Vice-Rector of ADA University Fariz Ismayilzada, as well as the Head of the State Service for Supervision of Use and Protection of Water Resources Rafig Aslanov.

The opening ceremony of the UN Local Youth Conference on Climate Change LCOY Azerbaijan 2025 was held on September 1 at Baku State University.

The conference brought together more than 150 young leaders in the field of climate, representatives of government agencies, international organizations and leading experts of the country.
