Azerbaijan relocates 252 more residents to Khidirli village of Aghdam

Azerbaijan initiated another phase of resettlement to the Khidirli village of the Aghdam district on Friday, Report informs.
In line with the directives of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Great Return to the liberated territories continues.
As part of this phase, 68 families, comprising 252 individuals, were relocated to the village.
The Khidirli residents being relocated to their native lands are families who were temporarily settled in different parts of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.
Residents returning to their native land have expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care they have received.
They also expressed their gratitude to the valiant Azerbaijani army and heroic soldiers and officers who liberated Azerbaijan’s lands from occupation, and wished mercy for the martyrs who lost their lives in this cause.
Currently, over 50,000 people reside in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur, including former internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have returned to the region. This population also comprises individuals engaged in various development projects, employees of local branches of state institutions, and professionals working in revitalized sectors such as healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy.
