Azerbaijan marks professional holiday of civil servants

Today, Azerbaijan celebrates the professional holiday of civil servants, established by a decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on May 25, 2006.
According to Report, as of January 1, 2026, there were 27,300 civil servants in the country, of whom 31.4% were women.
At the end of 2025, the average monthly nominal salary of civil servants increased by 4.5%, reaching 2,059 manats.
More than a quarter (27.4%) of employees have 15 years or more of civil service experience, while the largest age group is 30–34 years old, accounting for 18% of all civil servants.
