Azerbaijan boosts US allies' energy security, MP says

By supplying natural gas to 14 countries, Azerbaijan is making a significant contribution to strengthening the energy security of the United States' European allies, stated Vugar Bayramov, a member of the Milli Majlis, during a special session titled "Washington Agreements: A Triumph of Peace Diplomacy and Wise Leadership," held as part of the parliament's extraordinary session, Report informs.

He stressed that this achievement was made possible due to President Ilham Aliyev's political resolve, strong international reputation, and bold decisions on the battlefield:

"The documents signed in Washington open up major prospects for Azerbaijan-US relations. Beyond political and strategic cooperation, ties will also expand in areas such as energy, trade, transit, regional communications, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure."

Bayramov noted that energy cooperation would allow US allies to further strengthen their energy security with the help of Azerbaijani gas:

"Azerbaijan, supplying gas to 14 countries, is playing a key role in reinforcing the energy security of America's partners in Europe."

He added that strategic cooperation with the US will also attract more technology and innovation to Azerbaijan"s non-oil sector:

"Such cooperation will support the achievement of Azerbaijan's economic diversification goals. A strategic partnership with the US means American technology and investment entering our country, enhancing its economic dynamism."
