102-year-old man casts vote in Nakhchivan

Abdulla Safarov, 102, a resident of the Yayji village of Julfa, exercised his voting right at polling station No. 43 of Ordubad-Julfa Constituency No. 6.
The municipal elections in Azerbaijan are being held at 5,846 polling stations covering 118 electoral districts. In total, 16,092 candidates are competing for 8,071 seats in 685 municipalities.
The voting will run until 19:00 (GMT+4).
According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), 5,961,987 voters are eligible to participate in the elections.
January 29 has been declared a non-working day in Azerbaijan due to the elections.
