Azerbaijan represented at TURKSOY meeting in Trabzon

The 5th meeting of high-ranking officials from member countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) has kicked off in Trabzon, Türkiye, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Culture Ministry.

Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Culture Farid Jafarov is participating in the event.

The main purpose of the meeting is to prepare documents, activity reports, and strategic plans to be discussed at the Permanent Council of TURKSOY.

As part of the visit, the deputy ministers held meetings with the head of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality and the governor of Trabzon to discuss the promotion of Turkic world cultures and deepening regional cooperation.

At the end of the day, Farid Jafarov spoke at the closing ceremony held at the Maiden Monastery.
