Abdullah Al-Washmi: Arabic Language Month in Azerbaijan - result of long-term co-op

Holding the Arabic Language Month in Azerbaijan is the result of long-term cooperation, Abdullah Al-Washmi, Secretary-General of “King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language”, said at the opening ceremony of the Arabic Language Month in Baku, Report informs.

"We have gathered here to emphasize the importance of cultural ties between our peoples. Anyone who reads Arabic poetry or ancient Arabic works always comes across a mention of Azerbaijan," he said.

He noted that the academy highly appreciates the interest of Azerbaijani students and specialists in studying the Arabic language.

"We see a serious approach from universities and experienced teachers, and this strengthens our cooperation. Holding the Arabic Language Month in Azerbaijan is the result of long-term cooperation. The academy has been working here for several years, and we strive for even deeper relations and diverse programs," he added.
