There are suspicions that Russian companies in Armenia are being established for the purpose of conducting shadowy operations in this country, according to Malik Hasanov, economist-expert of the Ekonomiks International Public Union for Economic Research, Report informs.
He made the remark during a briefing on the economic analysis of Armenia's suspicious import-export operations.
Hasanov stated that after the war against Ukraine, hundreds of companies registered under the names of Russian businessmen have appeared in Armenia: "There are suspicions that these companies were created to conduct shadowy operations. There is no answer to the question why suddenly more than 75% of exports from Russia to Armenia included products such as pearls, precious or semi-precious stones, and precious metals."
Legal expert Bayram Sadighov said that the relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly have established state responsibility for actions contradicting international law, and a state that creates conditions for another state to commit an act contrary to international law also bears international responsibility: "The actions of Russia and Armenia should be approached from this perspective."
