Azerbaijan starts exporting cigarettes to another country

In January-June of this year, Azerbaijan imported 79.03 million (-84%) cigarettes (containing tobacco) worth $1.467 million (-86.7%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

45.11 million units (-88.4%) worth $955,250 (-90.3%) were purchased from Ukraine and 33.92 million units (-67.3%) worth $511,980 (-56.6%) from Russia.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 107.55 million cigarettes (-6%) worth $773.910 (+16%).

11.5 million units worth $136,750 were sold to Turkmenistan, 53.91 million units worth $297,880 to Oman, 27.69 million units worth $254,130 to Georgia, and 14.45 million units worth $85,140 to China.

This year, for the first time in the last 11 years (note: publicly available official statistics on foreign trade are up to 2011), exports were made to China.
