Azerbaijan's foreign trade surplus drops nearly threefold

Between January and August of 2025, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $32.118 billion, marking a 3.6% increase year-on-year, Report informs, referring to the country's State Customs Committee.
Of the total trade turnover, $17.065 billion accounted for exports, while $15.053 billion came from imports. Over the past year, exports declined by 6.4%, whereas imports rose by 17.9%.
As a result, Azerbaijan recorded a positive trade balance of $2.013 billion-down by approximately 2.7 times year-on-year.
