Uzbekistan intends to study Azerbaijan’s experience in the field of agriculture, in particular, the cultivation of pomegranates, Uzbek Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov said at an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, Report informs.
“We are studying the varieties that can be grown in Uzbekistan, and for this purpose, we have allocated certain territories. We are looking for areas where we can cooperate. I have visited different regions of Azerbaijan and watched how they are engaged in cotton growing in Sabirabad, how sericulture is developing in other districts, and I would like Azerbaijan to adopt the Uzbek experience in this area,” the ambassador said.
