Presidential aide: Azerbaijan sets new tasks for executive authorities

Within the new State Program for the Development of Agricultural, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Production and Processing for 2026–2030, new tasks have been assigned to Azerbaijan's executive powers, said Natig Amirov, Assistant to the President, Head of the Department of Economic Policy and Industrial Issues of the Presidential Administration, according to Report's correspondent in Saatli.

Speaking during a regional meeting on the Mil-Mughan Economic Zone within the framework of the State Program, Amirov noted that heads of executive powers, together with representatives of relevant agencies, should determine target indicators and performance benchmarks for the main directions of the agricultural sector based on the State Program, and ensure the preparation of socio-economic development programs for each region for 2026–2030.

He further stressed that the private sector should become the leading force in agricultural development.
