Minister: Azerbaijan encouraging cultivation of more profitable crops

Today, one of the main focuses of Azerbaijan's agricultural policy is encouraging the cultivation of crops that are more profitable for farmers, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov said at the roundtable "Climate-Resilient Agribusiness: Aligning Strategy, Investment, and Policy" as part of the Baku Climate Week (BCAW2025), Report informs.
According to him, farmers' incomes play a significant role: "We encourage the cultivation of the most profitable crops. The Ministry of Agriculture is developing a strategy for climate-resilient agriculture."
The minister added that climate resilience serves to improve farmers' livelihoods.
