Azerbaijan to expand agricultural projects in Kalbajar

The expansion of agricultural and aquaculture projects is envisaged in Azerbaijan's Kalbajar district, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Kalbajar district, Bashir Hajiyev, told journalists, Report informs.

According to him, the Kalbajar district, thanks to its rich water resources, vast pastureland areas, and favorable ecological conditions, has great potential for the development of various agricultural sectors.

"Relevant work is being carried out to implement entrepreneurial activities in the fields of livestock breeding, poultry farming, and crop cultivation. The measures envisaged within the State Program for the Development of the Agricultural Sector for 2026-2030 will lay the groundwork for a broader development of the agricultural sector and aquaculture in Kalbajar. Through the State Program, additional opportunities will be created to attract new investments, increase production volumes, and raise employment levels," Hajiyev said.

He noted that more effective utilization of the agricultural and aquacultural potential of Kalbajar will make a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the district, as well as to the process of sustainable resettlement of the population.
