Azerbaijan starts importing cotton seeds from another country

In January-April of this year, 2,971.82 tons (+32.4%) of cotton seeds worth $8.097 (+23.3%) million were exported to Azerbaijan, Report informs, referring to the data of the State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, 2,971 tons (+32.4%) worth $8.089 million (+23.2%) were brought from Turkiye and 0.37 tons worth $8,180 from Israel.
This year, for the first time in the last 11 years (note: publicly available official statistics on foreign trade are until 2011), supplies were made from Israel.
In 2021, 99.99% of the 2,268.35 tons of cotton seeds Azerbaijan bought from abroad (Turkiye, Greece, and Pakistan) fell to the share of Turkiye.
