Azerbaijan resumes mandarin sales to Turkmenistan

Azerbaijan imported 5,352 tons of mandarins (-22%) worth $3.824 million (-21%) in January-May, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
The country imported 4,945 tons (-21%) worth $3.51 million from Turkiye (-20%), 237 tons (-44%) worth $189,560 (-43.5%) from Pakistan, 131.37 tons (-6%) worth $98,530 (-6%) from Egypt, 36.46 tons (+66%) worth $25,520 (+68%) from Iran, 2.24 tons (-91.2%) worth $1,790 (-91.6%) from Peru.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exorted 716.8 tons (+14 times) of mandarins worth $495,720 (+15 times).
Azerbaijan supplied 710.32 tons (+14 times) worth $481,320 (+14.6 times) to Russia, 0.45 tons worth $11,100 to Japan (there was no supply a year ago), 6 tons worth $3,220 to Kazakhstan (there was no supply a year ago) and 30 kg of fruit worth $100 to Turkmenistan.
Azerbaijan has resumed the sale of mandarins to Turkmenistan after 6 years.
Some 99.3% of the 4,552 tons of mandarins exported from Azerbaijan (to 4 countries) in 2022 were sent to Russia.
