"Our website includes all conditions for hotels to obtain a star," Florian Sengstschmid, Chief Executive Officer at Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau (ATB), said at a press conference.
According to him, after an appeal of hotels, they are audited: “If there is any incompleteness, the hotel management is given a certain time to solve it. If it is a small problem, the hotel is given 6 months. Bigger problems need up to 12 months. Hotels which do not agree with the decision of the State Tourism Agency can file an appeal.”
Mr. Sengstschmid also spoke about the star rating: “The state duty for receiving stars starts from AZN 800. During the quarantine, the hotels will receive the stars without state duty for three years.”
