Indonesia: 13 million lose jobs in tourism sector

The number of work losses in Indonesia's tourism sector has reached 13 million amid the coronavirus pandemic's adverse effects, Report says, referring to foreign media.
The vast majority of hotels, cafes, and restaurants in the country do not operate due to a lack of customers. If the situation does not change, the number could reach 15 million by the end of the year.
Besides, 32.5 million people in the sector are at risk of missing their positions.
The Indonesian government has provided a total of $ 3.8 million in tourism assistance to businesses.
