Türkiye, US presidents discuss bilateral ties, global issues

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has held a phone call with US President Donald Trump.
Report informs, citing the Turkish Presidential Administration's post on X, that the leaders discussed current relations between the two countries, as well as regional and global issues.
The Turkish leader described the US decision to extend the ceasefire with Iran as a positive step, said he firmly believed that a reasonable solution to disputed issues was possible, and expressed his continued support for constructive initiatives.
Erdogan also noted that establishing stability in Syria was an important achievement for the entire region, that Ankara's support for Damascus would continue uninterrupted, and that it was important to prevent the situation in Lebanon from deteriorating.
The Turkish president also offered Trump condolences over the attack on a mosque in the US city of San Diego and stressed that Ankara strongly opposes such hate crimes, regardless of the religious group targeted.
