Türkiye deploys more resources as wildfires spread

Türkiye has expanded the personnel and equipment deployed to combat ongoing wildfires in the provinces of Antalya, Mugla and Balikesir, as firefighting efforts continue by air and on the ground.
According to Turkish media, a total of 202 people have been evacuated from Mugla's Seydikemer district as part of wildfire safety measures.
Authorities have deployed 741 personnel, five firefighting aircraft, 18 helicopters, 88 fire engines and additional equipment to contain the blaze in the area.
Firefighting operations are also continuing in Antalya and Balıkesir, where emergency crews and specialized equipment remain on the ground.
The Antalya-Seydikemer highway has been temporarily closed due to the wildfire situation.
