Araghchi briefs Fidan on Iran protests

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan have discussed recent developments in the region, Report informs, citing the Iranian MFA.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Araghchi briefed Fidan on events that have taken place in Iran in recent days, including how peaceful public protests escalated into violence.
He emphasized that the violence was triggered by elements linked to foreign states, which resulted in the deaths of several Iranian citizens.
During the conversation, Araghchi also addressed foreign interference in the country's internal situation and outlined the causes behind the unrest.
On January 14, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held another phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, Report informs.
The ministers discussed the situation that has emerged in the region.
