Russia's Investigative Committee to oversee investigation of criminal case initiated in Sverdlovsk

A report on criminal cases related to particularly serious crimes in Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast in recent years will be submitted to the central apparatus of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Report informs.
Information about the detention of Azerbaijanis who are Russian citizens by law enforcement agencies in the Sverdlovsk Oblast and the death of two of them has been widely circulated in the public space as part of the investigation of criminal cases initiated in previous years.
The head of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, has instructed A.D. Nadbitov, who is acting as the head of the committee for the Sverdlovsk Oblast, to submit a detailed report on the situation.
The investigation of the criminal case has been taken under control in the central apparatus of the committee.
