Iran has not abandoned either the negotiating table or the battlefield, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian wrote on social media, Report informs.
"Our priority is national security and the people's peace. We resolutely defend the people's rights and will not retreat in the face of any threat. Diplomacy and defense are the two wings of national power; we have not abandoned either the battlefield or the negotiating table," he noted.
Earlier, Iran announced a halt to strikes on Israel after US President Donald Trump called on both sides to cease hostilities. Iran, however, warned that further attacks were possible in the event of an escalation in Lebanon.
