Passenger bus catches fire after crash in Türkiye, leaving casualties

A passenger bus in Türkiye's Denizli province caught fire after crashing into barriers.

Report informs, citing local media, that the incident occurred in Sarayköy district.

The bus, carrying 40 people, went out of control and crashed into barriers, with the impact causing the vehicle to catch fire. Seven people were killed and 30 other passengers were injured in the accident.

Ambulances, rescuers, police and gendarmerie officers, as well as fire crews, were dispatched to the scene.

The injured were taken by ambulance to hospitals.

An investigation is underway.
