OTS states urged to create joint NGO grant system

Member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) should establish a common grant system to support non-governmental organizations, Chairman of the Uzbek parliamentary committee on entrepreneurship, competition development, and industry Bobur Bekmurodov said at the 2nd Solidarity Forum of NGOs of OTS countries held in Baku, Report informs.

"We are witnessing the desire of OTS countries for unity. However, unfortunately, our non-governmental organizations are still not working together. That is why we must create a support fund for NGOs of OTS countries within the platform. Large businesses should also take part in this initiative," he said.

Bekmuradov also stressed that the forum should remain a permanent platform for meetings among NGO representatives from OTS member states.
