Official of Azerbaijani descent resigns from Georgia's ruling party

Rafi Orujov, deputy chairman of the Gardabani municipality of Georgia and MP of the Garatahla village, has resigned.
According to Report's local bureau, he posted the information on his Facebook page.
Orujov also left the ruling Georgian Dream Party:
"The reason for this decision is that the party's current policy does not coincide with my political position."
He stressed that he has always served the state and the people in good faith during his seven years in office: "I hope I have justified your trust."
