Belarus issued a note to Lithuania over border incident, said Anatoly Glaz, spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
"Belarus considers it as a planned provocation and expects that Vilnius will properly investigate the incident and take measures to prevent a recurrence in the future," Glaz emphasized.
Eight balloons were released from Lithuania to Belarus yesterday. A statement from the Belarusian Defense Ministry said that they were neutralized by helicopter. On the same day, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry sent a note to Minsk connected with the violation of the air border.
