NATO sends additional troops to Alliance's eastern borders

As the Russia-Ukraine war continues, NATO leaders have decided to strengthen the Alliance's eastern borders, Report informs, citing NATO.
It has sent additional manpower and equipment, including fighter jets, to Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria.
"We face a new reality for our security due to Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine. In response, NATO has reinforced its defensive presence in the eastern part of the Alliance with more troops, planes and ships," Alliance tweeted.
In his opening remarks at an emergency meeting in Brussels, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that the forces would remain there for as long as needed.
