"Relations between Russia and Georgia will be normalized," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told RTVI in his interview, Report says.
According to him, there are politicians in Tbilisi, supporting the resumption of relations with Moscow: "I believe that Georgia's ties will be restored and improved. We see the emergence of Georgian politicians who support it. "
Lavrov said he believed that the traditional historical closeness and connection between the peoples of Russia and Georgia would ultimately prevail. "The provocateurs who try to prevent Georgia from restoring normal relations with Russia will be ashamed," he said.
