Claims that Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu has been detained are false, Kazakhstan's KazTAG news outlet said, citing an informed source.
"The information about Nurtleu's detention is not true; it is fake news," the source stated.
Several media outlets had reported earlier that Nurtleu and a number of other individuals were allegedly detained by the National Security Committee.
