The OSCE/ODIHR observation mission will not participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Georgia, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said, Report informs.
He noted that during the previous elections, the organization's representatives 'fell victim to bullying, insults and pressure' and therefore do not want to come to Georgia again.
"The OSCE/ODIHR observation mission was subjected to such strong bullying and pressure during the parliamentary elections that they no longer have the desire to come. I think that they will not participate in the next parliamentary elections either," Kaladze told journalists.
The mayor added that harsh and unfair statements were made against the observers not only by the local opposition, but also by foreign political circles, including some European parliamentarians and high-ranking officials.
Kaladze noted that although the government sent an official invitation to the observers, it was clear in advance that they would not come.
