"According to the plan, 60% of the Georgian people will be vaccinated against coronavirus," said chief epidemiologist Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.
People under the age of 18 will not be vaccinated, as there has been no medical study about them.
The head of the center noted that 60% of the population should be vaccinated to establish collective immunity and return to a normal life rhythm.
Gamkrelidze stressed the vaccination would cost 65-170 million laris.
