Georgia abolishes fines for violating pandemic requirements

"Those who violate the rules of isolation, quarantine, and proper use of protective masks during the pandemic in Georgia will be exempt from fines," Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said at a special briefing.
According to him, the relevant initiative has already been submitted to parliament.
The PM noted that this would apply to unpaid fines: "The abolition of penalties will cover 245,000 citizens and 344 legal entities. The total amount is GEL 76 million."
