Former Georgian speaker may become new mayor of Tbilisi

Former Georgian Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze is expected to run for mayor of Tbilisi, Report's Georgian bureau mentions, referring to Rustavi 2 TV channel.
The ruling Georgian Dream Party has not confirmed the news that the former speaker will participate in Tbilisi's mayoral election.
Talakvadze resigned on April 24. Vice Speaker Kakha Kuchava will replace him. The former chairman will replace Kuchava. The procedure for electing a new speaker of parliament will begin tomorrow.
Elections to local self-government bodies in the neighboring country will be held this fall.
