Farid Shafiyev: Influence of OTS in region steadily growing

The influence of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is steadily growing in the region, Farid Shafiyev, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), said at a conference of OTS think tanks in Baku.

Report quotes him as saying the organization's influence has been growing in recent years: "The OTS serves peace and cooperation in the region. The principles of cooperation and equality operate within the organization."

Shafiyev noted that some international organizations are in need of serious reform, and certain gaps are emerging, which the OTS is capable of filling.
